Exciting news! We will expand our facility in Hattem! The construction will start in Q3 of this year. Our Long Term Storage facility will move beside us and with the growth we have experienced the last few years, additional office space will be added. Long Term Storage Solutions (LTS), is a service by Totech Europe offering safe, off-site storage and quality testing of components, subassemblies and moisture sensitive devices. Our secure, quarantine areas are compliant to international standards for MSD and Long Term Component Storage, (J-STD-033 & IEC62435). With the new location, we will be able to assist our customers easier and more flexible with the move from our LTS to our head office. Below we will keep you up to date on the latest developments. New in the Totech product portfolio: The Dry Lift. With Dry Lift we combine our unique Drying and Handling techniques to create a high-quality, reliable storage solution. Dry Lift is available in three different versions. Dry Lift Basic, Dry Lift Plus and Dry Lift Pro. All three are storage solutions for large volumes on a small footprint, with variable height up to 10 meters. The Dry Lift Basic is a non-automated vertical lift module that is equipped with insulating panels and a guillotine door that covers the lift opening, this creates an airtight Storage Solution. Do you already have a vertical lift in your factory? We can upgrade this to a Dry Lift Basic. The Dry Lift Plus is a Dry Lift Basic, but already equipped with reel inlays. The inlays make sure you can store all reels vertically which makes it a very “reel friendly” solution, stored in the most optimal way. With a 7m high vertical lift, you have a capacity of 49.000 reels! The Dry Lift Plus is a semi-automated solution. In combination with the Storage Manager Software, it will automatically bring the right tray with the correct parts forward when your system demands this according tot he production planning. The Dry Lift Pro is the Dry Lift Plus, but as a completely automated storage solution. With a robot-arm in the vertical lift opening, there is no manual handling needed in this process. The store in and take out are fully automated.

It’s the year 2004, the use of ‘lead’ in solder alloy is banned due to EU legislation, Jos Brehler, CEO of Totech Europe, starts his company with the knowledge that, by eliminating lead from the solder alloy, the moisture related issues increase dramatically due to the increase of pressure on the parts by raising the reflow temperatures for this new alloy. As a result, components which hold too much moisture during reflow will cause defects due to Popcorning (vaporizing moisture creating micro-cracks), which can lead to failure of the entire assembly. Long story short, the solution to prevent these defects, a dry and conditioned storage environment for MSL components. The birth of the first Dry Cabinets in Europe is a fact.  The ambition to become the specialist in Dry Storage Solutions grew from early on. That is why in 2007, Totech Europe changed from being a sales company to a product development and production organization!
